The Newest

In a dramatic departure from my normal 'vintage mechanicals only' Style...
I somewhat recently acquired a

Bernina 830....(of the new variety)

For someone who's idea of a thread cutter is a pair of scissors...
this is sort of a shocking adjustment to HOW I sew, and how I THINK about my sewing.

The feed is 9mm. That's 2x as wide as the feed on a 930.
And there are buttons everywhere!
Needle up/down, presser foot up/down, autothreader, pattern end, tie off, thread cutter...etc.

The screen is fairly simple really, and MOST of what it does is self explanatory!
